Every year on Pi Day (3.14) which coincides with Einstein’s birthday (140 years ago) I remember Pat Conroy’s novel, South of Broad, and being introduced to Bloomsday (the writer James Joyce was already a favorite).
The wonder and amazement of the creative skills of the mind’s eye. The inquiring mind might ask, ‘what is the connection between Pi Day and Bloomsday.’ It would be a great question! I don’t know the answer only that one is likely to emerge. Not until we ask do these things appear.

One year into my residency in Morelia, Mexico I am writing an epic story, Ana en Eternidad. The story is about the feminine mystique as it has manifested in a forty-nine year old woman through her heritage of countless generations from one of the earliest of global civilizations into what I am calling a ‘Tale of Two Countries, Mexico.’
The story begins in a Michener-esque introduction to the emergence of Mexico’s time and place. Then introduces Ana from her childhood through coming of age, marriage, motherhood, grand-mothering, and matriarchy at a seemingly young age.

30 years ago, on March 12, 1989, a British computer scientist unwittingly made history by laying the groundwork of what would later become known as the World Wide Web. Tim Berners-Lee, who was working at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) at the time, distributed a paper to his colleagues entitled “Information Management: A Proposal”, in which he suggested creating a networked hypertext system to help CERN manage and share information within its organization.

20 years ago, on May 26, 1967 in the UK, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is the eighth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles to be released. It was lauded by critics for its innovations in production, songwriting and graphic design, for bridging a cultural divide between popular music and high art, and for providing a musical representation of its generation and the contemporary counterculture.

Welcome to 2019. The culture creative expression is now in full bloom! Yours for your own device. Blessings on your purpose and intent!
